Prowler MFG, headquartered in Greensburg, Indiana, has been serving the compact construction equipment industry since 1998. Over the last 25+ years, the company has dealt in both new and used construction equipment, replacement parts, and attachments. We particularly specialized in used compact machinery imported from Japan during our first 10 years in business.
During those early years, while importing compact equipment, we quickly realized that replacement rubber tracks and undercarriage parts were exceedingly expensive and hard to obtain in the United States. Compact equipment was not nearly as popular as it is today, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) suppliers held a monopoly on the rubber track and track pad market. There were very few individuals in the US with knowledge about the various track sizes, configurations, and special requirements that these compact machines demanded. Conversely, compact equipment had been popular since the 1980s in Asia, so the knowledge and manufacturing infrastructure were already established there. Over the years, we developed relationships with experts in Asia who specialized in rubber track design and manufacturing. Through these relationships, coupled with our understanding of the US market and American customers’ needs and preferences, we were able to develop and manufacture our own Prowler Track brand.
After developing our own track design and subjecting it to rigorous testing, we launched Prowler Tracks for compact construction equipment here in the US. Within a few years, not only did the mini-excavator market explode, but companies like Bobcat and others began producing new Compact Track Loaders and Multi-Terrain Loaders. This opened up an entirely new market for Prowler Products. Over the years, we have refined and expanded our product line to encompass nearly all aspects of replacement parts and attachments for compact construction equipment.
Today, we offer comprehensive repair and preventative maintenance services for nearly all construction machinery. Our technicians are well-trained and knowledgeable about their respective roles and the services they provide.
